Exam requirement dataset
Every requirement behind these tools, published as data. 9 exams, 21 documents, each read from the conducting body’s own current notification and stamped with the date it was checked. Free to use with attribution.
Why this is public
These are public government requirements, so there is nothing to hoard. Publishing them as data has three effects we want: it lets other people build on the work, it means an AI assistant answering “what size photo does IBPS PO need” can reach a sourced figure rather than guessing from a decade of stale blog posts, and it keeps us honest: a wrong value sitting next to its source and date is visible to everybody, not just to us.
The one caveat that matters
Check lastVerified before you rely on a value. Exam bodies revise upload rules between cycles, and stale figures are the single biggest source of wrong advice in this category. A live example is in the data: most of the web still states an SSC CGL photograph size of 20–50 KB, but SSC now captures the photograph inside the application form and rejects applications built from a re-photographed print. The dataset marks that with photographIsLiveCapture.
Fields
officialSource- URL of the notification the figures were read from. Always cite this too.
lastVerified- ISO date we last read that document. Not the date we copied someone else.
widthPx,heightPx- Pixel dimensions. Where a notification gives only a print size, these are derived at the DPI the notification states, and
printSizecarries the original. minKB,maxKB- The permitted file size range. Note that portals disagree on whether KB means 1,000 or 1,024 bytes, so aim for the middle of the range rather than its edge.
photographIsLiveCapture- True when the body captures the photo in-app and no photo file can be uploaded at all.
alsoRequiresLiveCapture- True when a live photo is required in addition to an uploaded file.

Coverage
Coverage grows as each exam is verified. An exam is only listed once someone has read its notification end to end; nothing here is inferred from another website.
